Celebrating the Spirit of the Season: 2024 Tampa Chapter FAMU Alumni Christmas Party
The holiday season is a time for gathering, reflection, and joy, and on December 14, 2024, the Tampa Chapter of the FAMU Alumni Association brought those festive elements together at the stunning Venue 2016 for an unforgettable Christmas celebration. This annual event, which brings together alumni, friends, and family, was nothing short of magical.
An Afternoon to Remember
From the moment attendees arrived, they were greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere that set the tone for the evening. The venue, beautifully decorated with Christmas cheer, provided the perfect backdrop for reconnecting with old friends, networking with fellow alumni, and celebrating the spirit of FAMU.
The event kicked off with a reception where guests mingled over festive cocktails and hors d'oeuvres. There was a buzz of excitement in the air as people shared stories and laughter, reminiscing about their time at Florida A&M University. The holiday spirit was alive and well as alumni of all ages came together to celebrate the bonds that FAMU helped create, many years ago and even more recently.
Entertainment and Festivities
The highlight of the evening was the lively entertainment, which kept everyone on their feet. From live music to a DJ Itsy Roc, a BCU Alum, spinning holiday classics and FAMU anthems, the dance floor was filled with energetic alumni who showed off their best dance moves. The party’s atmosphere was one of fun, celebration, and camaraderie.
Guests were treated to delicious food that included both traditional holiday fare and some Southern-inspired delicacies, all catered with the signature hospitality Tampa is known for.
Giving Back and Paying It Forward
In the spirit of the holidays, the Tampa Chapter FAMU Alumni also focused on giving back. This year’s event included a charitable component, where guests were encouraged to bring donations for a local cause.
